This Saturday, October 15, break bread with fellow art lovers and foodies at the inaugural EAT ART, a new event that celebrates art, food and community. It begins by exploring contemporary and European art at the Brooklyn Museum, and ends with cocktails and conversation at a 5-course dinner party at a nearby private home in historic Prospect Heights. Your hosts for the evening are Tracy Candido, Director of the Community Cooking Club and producer of food/art events such as Sweet Tooth of the Tiger and “Food In Art: An Edible History” and Eleanor Whitney, co-author of the blog 2 Cooks in the Kitchen and an experienced museum educator with stints at both the Brooklyn Museum and the Rubin Museum. The menu includes delicious plates such as beer-braised local chicken and lamb andouille sausage atop root mash, caramelized onions and horseradish cream and molasses cake with roasted apples and crème fraiche. Tickets are $85 and $65 artist tickets are available with the discount code ARTIST at eatartoctober.
