Farm to Winter Table

By

If you aren’t looking forward to rifling through picked-over produce in supermarkets this winter, take note that this Sunday is the last day you can sign up for the Local Roots NYC 2011 Winter CSA, one of the few Brooklyn CSAs that will be providing fresh vegetables in December, January, and February.  Members are given a lot of choice as to what types of food they wish to receive over the twelve-week long season, and full and half shares are available for apples, meat, eggs, juice, grains and beans, cheese, bread and, of course, local organic veggies like kale, squash and potatoes. You can pick up your bounty at one of two locations: Brooklyn Farmacy or 61 Local, and membership requires only one volunteer shift all winter.
