Break out the Aqua Net, some acid washed jeans, anything with enormous shoulder pads and maybe a pair of Ray-Ban shades and get ready to party like it’s 1989. Union Hall is throwing a Ladies Of The 80’s sing-along to celebrate the best thing that came out of the 80’s- the ladies! In honor of Kim Wilde’s birthday (she sang “Kids In America”) sing along to hits like Olivia Newton John’s “Physical” or Madonna’s “Like A Virgin.” For two hours, some of the most memorable music videos of the decade that was defined by music videos will be projected with subtitles – just in case you forgot the lyrics – and blasted from the speakers. And don’t forget the best 80’s outfit contest, the 80’s dance-off and themed drinks including The Material Girl, True Colors and The Egyptian. Prizes include a free pair of tickets to the Awesome 80’s Prom at Webster hall. It’s $8 at 8pm. You see a theme here?
