Since Beauty Bar opened a Park Slope outpost early this spring, stylish ladies of Brooklyn have been able to maintain an impeccable manicure without missing a night out drinking. Starting this Thursday, the kitschy salon-themed saloon will host a monthly variety show featuring old-timey jazz music, burlesque acts, and sword swallowers. Sponsored by Smuttynose Brewing Co., the cabaret-style show will star Perle Noire, a veteran performer who has most recently teamed up with Dita Von Teese. Live music will be provided by sultry crooner Dulce DeLeche and Jay Sanford of Jessy Carolina and the Hot Mess. The show starts at 10pm and is free—although cocktails and manicures are not, so get there early for their happy hour.
