Walrus and Carpenter Oyster Co., an oyster farm in Ninigret, Rhode Island, is pulling this season’s final haul from its icy waters and zipping them down to NYC for pickup at The Brooklyn Kitchen on Nov. 27 and Dec. 7, 21, and 31. All of a sudden, this has me wondering why the last 30-plus Thanksgivings and Christmases in my life haven’t involved a lot more bivalves. Start a new holiday tradition by purchasing your own oyster share at an awesome price–25 for $35, 50 for $60 or 100 for $100. You can pick up between 2pm and 4pm this Wednesday and from 11am-1pm on the December dates. Happy shucking!
