Fight the good fight with food at MOFAD

By

I feel like one sentiment that has been nearly universally shared among my circle for the past year is a desire to do something to fight the tide of terribleness engulfing the world, coupled with total cluelessness about what a regular person with a job, family and social obligations, limited funds, and a minimal platform can actually accomplish. If you’re interested in food, MOFAD is hosting an interactive conversation/workshop on Wednesday night all about how you can channel your passion for good eating into political activism. Food scholar Dr. Jessica Harris and Julia Turshen, author of the new cookbook entitled Feed the Resistance: Recipes + Ideas for Getting Involved, will co-lead the workshopTurshen’s book is more than just recipes– it’s full of essays, resources, and motivation to get you engaged in building community and effecting change, one meal at a time. Tickets are $25 each, which includes small bites, beer, and wine, and the event runs from 6:30-8:30pm.
