An immersion in Williamsburg and a soiree in Prospect Park

By

As a South Brooklyn dweller, I don’t make it to Williamsburg nearly as much as I used to, and every time I go I’m shocked at how much has changed since the last time I was there. Case in point: We at Brooklyn Based are hosting one of our legendary immersions there this weekend, and we’re pouring free beers at Extra Fancy, Brooklyn Brewery’s newly revamped tasting room, Kent Ale House, and two bars I’ve not yet had the chance to check out, Rocka Rolla and Clinton Hall. For $15, you’ll get a beer at each location and tons of great deals at participating businesses nearby, like Brooklyn Bowl, Mable’s, Sweethaus, Oddfellows Ice Cream Co., and more. Add another $10 and you can choose lunch at Clinton Hall, Mable’s, or Casa Publica. The immersion runs from noon-6pm, and you can buy your tickets in advance here or at check-in between noon and one at Rocka Rolla (486 Metropolitan Ave.). There will also be a limited number of tickets available between noon and 1pm at Brooklyn Brewery (79 N. 11th St.). These things are always a total blast and it will be even more fun if you’re there so please join us.

If you’ve still got energy afterwards, Prospect Park is throwing its annual Summer Soiree, a potluck/BYOB dinner party with live entertainment under the stars. Grab some friends, some delicious food and wine, and a festive hat or headpiece of your choosing, and join your neighbors for an evening of dancing to Dandy Wellington and his Band and DJ Cosmo Baker from 5-10pm. Tickets are $50 each and proceeds benefit the Prospect Park Alliance, which is a cause we can all get behind.
