Our first Holistic Picnic brought together so many terrific people on Sunday, May 5. Equal parts wellness fest, plant party and market for artisanal foods and goods, it drew hundreds of guests (despite the rain!). Below are some of the photos we caught of the day; we have more on our Facebook page and you can see a few of the gorgeous aura photos taken at the fair on Instagram.
We held tiny talks and a group meditation session in our talking circle throughout the day. This was the first talk, about CBD, with two vendors who infuse it in their products, Victoria Pustynsky of Aurora Elixirs and Jenny Argie of Jenny’s Baked at Home Co. Photo: Mark Davis
Minka Brooklyn brought its wellness services to The Green Building for the day, offering drop-in reiki and tarot and goods from its Prospect Lefferts Gardens center. (Above is practitioner Racheal Daley.) Minka shared its pop-up healing temple with Dropping Seeds and their multi-use herbal blends. Photo: Mark Davis
The Green Building bar poured margaritas and palomas in honor of Cinco de Mayo, alongside CBD cocktails made with Aurora Elixirs’ hemp-infused tonics. Photo: Mark Davis
We had #funwithplants with the help of Rooted and Mitti (not pictured) who offered workshops on the Japanese planting art of Kodedama. Photo: Mark Davis
Yinova Center offered everyone Swarovski Crystal ear seeds, a taste of their acupuncture services at their new Brooklyn outpost. Photo: Mark Davis
We skipped printing event totes in favor of a more sustainable, BYO tote sample station where guests could pick from Weleda skincare samples, Hungryoot muesli, and Stony Brook WholeHearted Foods. Photo: Mark Davis
