Break a sweat to close out the work week

By

Too busy this week to get in a good exercise sesh? Never fear, because you can burn those extra cals on Friday night at Werk Out!, a high-intensity aerobics class at 3 Dollar Bill in East Williamsburg that was created by queer fitness guru AJ Blankenship and will be hosted by Ru Paul’s Drag Race contender Brita Filter. I know, I know, who wants to spend the first night of the weekend busting his or her ass in sweaty spandex, right?  Well, for what it’s worth, this one sounds like a real party, and it even includes electrolyte cocktails and unlimited free chocolate. Tickets are $30 each, the class starts at 7:30 and will be followed by a fierce fitness dance party DJ’ed by Jon ALi. Alternatively, you can try something a bit more low impact by checking out this Aerial Silks class at Williamsburg’s Brooklyn Zoo. After your learn to suspend yourself upside down with some very long scarves, you’ll get to celebrate with a few free glasses of wine. Friday’s class starts at 8 and tickets are $30 each.
