Nerdnite
The second Friday of the month is nerdnite at Galapagos Art Space in Dumbo. Sign up for the nerdnite email updates on their site to stay in the loop.

Secret Science Club
Science nerds meet up at the Bell House once a month for lectures, experiments, contests and all around weirdness. Check the SSC blog, or The Bell House calendar for monthly guests and topics.

Arts and Crafts
The Mending Circle

Bring your mending project to the Textile Arts Center on the first Thursday of every month from 6:30pm to 9pm for help, conversation and inspiration.

Etsy Labs
Craft Night at Etsy Labs is every Monday from 4 to 8pm; you can either bring your own project or participate in the weekly skill-sharing, Etsy-organized project like letterpress valentines. The labs are stocked with plenty of crafting supplies like button makers, sewing machines and paper cutters.
Dumbo

3rd Ward
This enormous space in East Williamsburg is home to a wide variety of classes, including Etsy workshops, co-working spaces, and regular events like Drink N Draw, every Wednesday from 8pm to 10:30pm.

Brooklyn Rod and Gun

The club hold workshops, movie nights and music events at their South Williamsburg space, and also organizes outings. Friend them on Facebook to join and keep track of club events.

Brooklyn Contra
The group holds a dance once a month in different locations around the borough. The next dance will be on February 25. Check their site for the venue, which hasn’t been determined as of yet.
