The Scene:Brooklyn film festival, sponsored by the Brooklyn Arts Council, kicks off on Thursday night at 8pm with a free live projection and performance of Intra-Structure, an audio and video collaboration by local artists Aerostatic + vade, under the Archway of the Manhattan Bridge. The festival runs through May 12, and consists of an array of screenings, workshops, and events throughout the borough that all celebrate and support the independent Brooklyn filmmaking industry. Highlights include a screening of independent shorts and live performances by Brooklyn-based sketch comedy group Serious Lunch , both at the Galapagos Art Space.
