This week, the City Reliquary manages to put its typically quirky spin on end-of-summer fun with its last blowout bash of the season. To mark the last Friday before September and autumn begin in earnest, they’ve pulled together a Led Zeppelin / pie / bourbon-themed fete. On the edible front, there will be a pie bake-off featuring judges from places like Saltie and the Brooklyn Kitchen — bring a pie for tasting to the event for free entry and a chance to win bottles of Brooklyn Local. Other comestibles and potables include coffee from Oslo and ice cream from Bittersweet (both free with entry) as well as Brooklyn Brewery beer and Buffalo Trace bourbon by donation. Music-wise, a DJ will be spinning all sorts of Led Zeppelin favorites and obscurities along with a multimedia projection of the band in concert; to top it all off, there will also be a screening of Rock and Roll Parking Lot.
