Too often, picklebacks are just a way to cushion the blow of cheap whiskey. Not so at this Saturday’s “pickles-n-whiskey” tasting at Brooklyn Oenology. The weekend-long event pairs high-quality New York whiskeys – Kings County Bourbon Whiskey, Brooklyn Wheat Whiskey, and McKenzie Rye Whiskey – with the borough’s favorite pickles produced by Rick’s Picks, McClure’s, and Brooklyn Brine. Each pairing’s just $5, or $13 for those brine-loving enough to try all three. To balance out all that whiskey drinking, Field Jerky Co. will also be appearing to share some of their quirkier jerky.
