Get Buried At The Music Hall

By

The first time I saw A Place to Bury Strangers was in 2004 in the backyard of the East River Bar, when they shared a bill with a band I was in at the time. It was a rock ‘n’ roll brunch barbecue thing of some sort and there were maybe 10 people in the crowd. I ate a hot dog and drank whatever lousy drink my drink ticket got me and watched this band just destroy the place. They were so loud and totally didn’t care that no one was there. My band was a joke in comparison. The noise-rock trio has come a long way since then and will be headlining the Music Hall of Williamsburg this Friday with Cymbals Eat Guitars and Hunters. Tickets are only $15 and despite the small crowd at the East River Bar back in 2004, I don’t think there’s gonna be quite as much standing room at this one. Also, do I need to mention how cool the name A Place to Bury Strangers is? –-JH
