Give a Lit

By

Who Gives a Shit About Literary Magazines? A lot of people, actually. And we’re guessing if you go to the eponymous event at BookCourt, you don’t need convincing. The Coffin Factory, the Brooklyn-based “magazine for people who love books,” is hosting, and they’ve assembled a humdinger panel for a discussion and Q&A session. Not only will their editor Randy Rosenthal be there, but so will John Freeman (editor of Granta), Rob Spillman (editor of Tin House), and Lorin Stein (editor of The Paris Review–the illustrious grand dame of all literary magazines). If you doubt the relevancy that lit mags still have as taste-makers and culture-shapers, or if you’re not that familiar but would like to be, this event is sure to open your mind to its world of possibilities, compliments of some of best minds in the lit biz.
