If you want to help Hurricane Sandy’s fuzziest victims, head to Bar Matchless on Wednesday night. Hundreds of dogs and cats were lost or abandoned during the storm, some given up by evacuees headed for no-pet shelters. City animal shelters also took a hit, some losing power and running low on supplies. A $20 donation to Adopt NY’s Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund gets you into the back room at Matchless to see performances by comedians Rory ScovelAdam NewmanCami Climaco and Ben Kronberg, music by the Reformed Whores and Noah Stitelman of Neighbors. There will be more special guests and the whole evening will be MC’d by David Crabb, one of Brooklyn’s greatest storytellers. The show starts at 8pm, tickets.
