The Stories Behind Brooklyn’s Music Festivals

By

If you’ve ever wondered how Celebrate Brooklyn! began in Prospect Park back in the 70s, or who brings hip-hop’s biggest names to perform in DUMBO each summer, tonight is your night. In our latest edition of Brooklyn For Good, the salon series we’re co-presenting with the Brooklyn Community Foundation, Jack Walsh of Celebrate Brooklyn! and Wes Jackson of the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival will talk about what it’s like to produce two of Brooklyn’s most influential music festivals. Mike Conklin, Editor-in-Chief of The L Magazine and Brooklyn Magazine, will be moderating, and the $5 tickets include light fare and wine. Be sure to buy one in advance–space is limited.
