Expect thunder bolts and lightning, as well as some excellent musical impersonations for a good cause at the Epic Queen Tribute Show on Dec. 1 at St. Vitus. Photo: Queen
It’s World Aids Day on Dec. 1, and just because St. Vitus is a metal bar adorned with pentagrams and dead roses doesn’t mean they’re not going to do their part to fight HIV. In true rock n’ roll style, they’re presenting the Epic Queen Tribute Show on Sunday, Dec. 1. Ten bands will be doing their best Freddie Mercury impersonations to fight against the disease that killed him. Huff This!, QRT and very-special guest Blue Coupe (featuring members of Blue Oyster Cult and the Alice Cooper band–get it? Blue Coup…) plus more. Condoms, raffles, metal, booze and more will be in abundant supply, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit IAVA, a global not-for-profit organization whose mission is to ensure the development of safe, effective, accessible, preventive HIV vaccines for use throughout the world. Tickets are only $10.
