Polish up those dancing shoes (or your regular shoes), round up your family members and learn about the seven principles of Kwanzaa this Sunday. Led by Iris Wilson (whose resume includes FELA! on Broadway, Opus Dance Theater and the film Love Train), the interactive Swahili celebration will weave together song, dance and a candle lighting ceremony inside Cumbe: Center for African and Diaspora Dance. Tickets start at $10 for the whole family (up to five people, $2 for each additional family member) at the door or online.
