Kelly Murphy, who has written more than a few stories for us here at Brooklyn Based, presents her book Historical Heartthrobs: 50 Timeless Crushes–from Cleopatra to Camus at powerHouse Arena on Jan. 14. The book profiles 50 heartthrobs from Bruce Lee to Pablo Picasso, complete with OkCupid-like profiles and a “heat factor” ranking how crush-worthy each individual really is (kind of like a modern day Hot or Not?). Murphy will be hanging out with Vice Magazine‘s Brian Moylan, and comedian Sue Smith for a discussion of historical hotties and their heat. How would you wine and dine Albert Camus?
