If you’re interested in emerging art, the Other Art Fair at Greenpoint’s Brooklyn Expo Center from May 3 through 6 is probably already on your radar. Returning for its third edition, the Saatchi-sponsored, expertly curated showcase of works by over 100 independent artists is a great opportunity to see what’s new and exciting in the art world and perhaps add to your collection. On Thursday night, May 3 the Fair will be open for a special private viewing from 6-10pm for the cost of a $30 premium ticket. That’s a significant markup from the $15 admission fee for Saturday or Sunday sessions, but it might be worth it if you want to take in the artwork in a relatively calm environment.
