Take it easy on Sunday and head out to Red Hook for a relaxed lunch and a culturally enriching afternoon and evening at Pioneer Works’ August Second Sundays event, which starts at 4pm. Among other things, you can see exhibits currently on display by Matthew Morrocco and John Lucas and Claudia Rankine, chat with other artists in residence in open studios, check out an underwater VR installation, enjoy live music by Abdu Ali, do some stargazing with the Amateur Astronomers Association, and indulge in eats and drinks from the bar. Admission is free with RSVP, although there is a suggested donation of $10, and you can check out the full lineup of events, which run from 4-10pm, here.
