This weekend is The Brooklyn Podcast Festival, which means that more than 20 podcasts will be recorded live at four venues over four days starting Thursday night. Although a lot of the shows are unfortunately sold out, you can still see the NYC history buffs behind The Bowery Boys at The Bell House celebrate the life and legacy of poet Walt Whitman, whose 200th birthday would be this May. Hosts Tom Meyers and Greg Young will discuss Whitman’s life in New York and the places he frequented, and will be joined by acclaimed Brooklyn poets and other special guests. Tickets are $20 and the show starts at 7:30pm.
