I adore my cat, who is sweetly licking my hand as I type this. But I have to admit, I love internet cats, too. So, let’s just pretend I reacted very calmly when I learned that Nitehawk Prospect Park is showing a compilation of the year’s best cat videos on Tuesday at 6:45pm. The folks behind CatVideoFest pull from submissions, animations, music videos and internet classics to bring you 70 minutes of the most purrfect babies — all for a good cause. The group is screening their creation all over the world, partnering with local shelters and organizations to make sure the money raised goes straight to community felines. Needless to say, I’ll be snagging a $13 ticket. Just don’t tell my kitty, OK?
