After literal years of talking about how cool Lola Star’s Dreamland Roller Disco sounds, I think I’m finally ready to commit — although I’m certainly going to look like a virgin. Luckily, that’s totally OK, because the theme of Friday’s installment of the weekly gathering is Prince vs. Madonna. The retro skate party is a sign o’ the times at Prospect Park’s LeFrak Center at Lakeside, kicking off every weekend from spring through early fall with a night of glitzy costumes and killer throwbacks. You can skate on through from 7:30 to 10 pm, but be sure to snag a ticket in advance because they tend to sell out. Each $22 ticket includes skate rentals, so all you need to worry about is donning your ‘80s best. Let’s go crazy!
