Celebrate International Women’s Day with lady makers, plants, and wine

By

I can’t think of a greater distraction from world issues than spending an evening getting to know a local lady maker, shopping with wine in one hand, and a fresh baby pilea plant in the other. Ah, it’s the little things in life, right?

International Women’s Day is March 8th, but you can spend your Thursday evening checking out The Sill’s new Brooklyn location in Cobble Hill, and shopping works by some wonderfully talented local female artists. The Sill is a female-founded business and will be hosting several events across their shops to celebrate the holiday. Complimentary wine is included in the free, but you can RSVP beforehand as the page notes that space is extremely limited. Pop in any time between 4-8pm on Thursday evening at The Sill in Cobble Hill.

And for your future Thursday plans: Table 87 at Industry City is a great place to take a Thursday night pizza-making class, which sell out quickly. Book your class through the first Thursday of May here.
