Pete’s Candy Store is one of the last-standing quintessentially weird, wonderful, and welcoming establishments in North Brooklyn. There, I said it! After celebrating its 20th anniversary of existence this past December, it has reminded me to keep supporting this feel-good bar and music venue in any way I can—from popping in for its monthly reading series to making sure I expand my music repertoire with artists performing in their stage area in the back. And don’t forget about their kind of secret backyard area either.
If your group of friends is looking for a new trivia night, Pete’s Candy hosts theirs every Wednesday night from 7:30-9:30pm. “Quizzo” will test your knowledge of several common themes from “Top Tens” to music. Come early for your group to grab a table, no reservations available. The first prize is a $75 bar tab, so it’s worth a shot!
