If your understanding of buying antiques at auction begins and ends with Christie’s, consider heading to the Manhattan Inn in Greenpoint this Sunday, Oct. 20, to bid at Brooklyn Auction Barn’s final antique auction of the year. For two hours, you can indulge in a type of weekend fun typically reserved for trust funders and pro estate salers, and hopefully take home a piece of vintage furniture, art, collectables, lamps, electronics, instruments or tchotchkes, which are all being priced to move with starting bids beginning somewhere between $1-$50. Cash and credit are both being accepted, and the bidding starts at 4pm, so plan to get there early before everything is going twice…sold!
