Park Slope’s own Talib Kweli is performing his well-honed brand of socially conscious rap music with a full band live two nights this week at Brooklyn Bowl. Whether teaming up with Mos Def in Black Star, appearing as a musical guest on the Chappelle Show or embarking on his own successful solo career, Kweli has always impressed critics, hip hop fans and even titans of the rap world, like Jay-Z and Kanye West, with his smart, socio-political lyrics and his unique sound. As of now, a two-day pass to both shows ($25) or tickets for the Monday night show only ($15) are still available.
