A vegan potluck for the ages, a free dance performance, and a rooftop film

On Saturday, vegans from all over the borough will be gathering at Grand Army Plaza for a Massive Vegan Potluck Picnic from 1-4pm. Bring your favorite meatless, dairyless food and party with some likeminded peeps. Entry is free and you will be treated to a DJ set by PUDGEemcee. Over in LIC, you can check out the final performance of this season of Norte Maar, a choreography and dance residency that is now in its fifth year at Socrates Sculpture Park. This week, the work of Nico Brown and Gleich Dances will be performed at 4pm at the outdoor, waterside venue with sweeping views of the East River and the Manhattan skyline. As always, admission is free. And Saturday also marks the last night of Rooftop Films’ summer season, which you can celebrate with an evening of food, drinks, live music, and a screening of short films at Industry City starting at 8pm. Tickets are $15 each.
