Opening reception for an interactive, multimedia installation

By

The Octopus Waffle Lab, an interactive installation at Open Source Gallery, will open on Wednesday, February 26, with a reception from 7-9pm. The installation, which runs through March 28 at the non-profit gallery in South Slope, invites viewers to rethink nourishment in the context of environmental challenges, and explores the impact of what we eat on our collective future.

The Octopus Waffle Lab is the first U.S. show for Void & Co., a platform for visual art projects run by Danish artists Ditte Knus Tønnesen and Ronja Svaneborg. The sensory, multimedia installation includes ceramic works, prints, video, and even a “waffle wagon,” so the concept of nourishment will be made deliciously manifest.
